How the document is laid out

The report is a clean A4 PDF, built to be read on screen and printed without reformatting. Sections appear in a fixed order, so a report for one company is directly comparable with a report for another.

Every page carries the company name, company registration number, your order reference and the date and time the data was retrieved from the Companies House public register. Where a section has nothing recorded on the register, the report says so rather than leaving a gap.

Cover page

Company name and registration number, the date and time the data was retrieved, your order reference and a statement that the document is independently prepared and is not a certified Companies House document.

Company details

Registered name, company number, status, incorporation date, company type, jurisdiction, registered office address, previous names and nature of business with SIC codes. This is the same information you can view free on the company summary, restated in the document for completeness.

Officers

Current and former directors and secretaries as recorded, with roles, appointment dates and resignation dates where applicable, plus nationality, country of residence and month and year of birth where the register publishes them.

Persons with significant control

Every PSC recorded for the company, with the nature of control, notification date and whether the entry is active or ceased. Corporate PSCs are shown with the details the register holds for them, so ownership chains can be followed a step further.

Filing position and history

Accounts and confirmation statement dates, whether anything is recorded as overdue, and a summary of recent filings with their dates and descriptions.

Charges and insolvency

Registered charges with their creation date, status and the persons entitled where recorded, and insolvency information where any exists on the register.

Notes and sources

The source of the data, the Open Government Licence attribution, the retrieval timestamp and a clear statement of what the report is not: not certified, not official, not a credit check and not advice.
